Nathan and I met in the autumn of 2005 at Brigham Young University, and were married in May 2006 in the Denver LDS Temple. We have an active dog named Lady, Nathan works for a physician consulting firm, and I'm a licensed practical nurse, know a few things about exercise, and am a full time mommy. July 2009 brought our first baby, James, into the family. Jackman was born exactly two years later in July 2011 and shares a birthday with his brother. Life is good!
Funny Things James and Jack Say...
March 2015 James calls his backpack a "pack-pack"
Jack: I have a booger Daddy Daddy: Where is it, in your nose? Jack: It was on my finger...so I rolled it, and rolled it, and rolled it, and rolled it, and rolled it, and rolled it, and rolled it, and rolled it... (you get the idea)...and threw it on the ground. Daddy: Good job! That's what you do with boogers.

Sept. 1st 2013 On a walk up at Snowbasin through the forest.... James: I used to live here. Daddy: Oh, when? J: In the forest. D: Yes, but when did you live here. J: Um, on Friday
Same walk, a squirrel crossed our path... James: I love squirrels, they are my favvv-orite! And Dragons. And Dinosaurs. Big, mean, meat-eating dinosaurs!
Feb. 2013 While reading scriptures one night (his have little pictures) he reads "And it came to pass, that all the bad guys got killeded up. Amen"
Nov. 16, 2012 James starting to get upset and his lower lip quivering: M: What's wrong honey? J: "My birthday's gone." M: "What?" J: "My birthday's gone, we gotta go get it." M: "Buddy, you'll have another birthday in July, everyone gets a birthday every year." Lower lip stops trembling J: "Oh, that's good"
James' prayers usually go like this: "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank thee for this day, Thank thee for Tractors, Thank thee for Mommy, Daddy, James, and Jack-Jack, Name of Jesus Christ, Amen"
Oct 2. We've put both the kids in the same room. Jack was crying for a second tonight, and James said "Jack lay down"
At Costco there are some dump trucks. James really wants one. Here's our conversation about them: J: I need one Mommy M: Well, Christmas is coming, we can ask Santa for one. J: But Santa's not here, Mommy's here. Mommy can we get one?
Now that Santa has been introduced... M: James, guess who's coming to dinner on Sunday? J: Santa? M: No, Aunt Kirstin! J: Oh, we need Santa to tell him about the dump truck.
Oct 2012 The other night while reading a bedtime story, James picked his nose, and Mommy tried to teach him a lesson about boogers... Mommy: James we don't eat boogers, they are yucky, we wipe them on a tissue. James: No, they are yummy. M: No! They are yucky, we don't eat them. J: No, they are yummy, we gotta cook them!
